Job summary

The City of Bellevue seeks a strategic and collaborative Facility Operations Section Manager to guide the maintenance and operations of more than 13 facilities totaling over 700,000 square feet. You will lead 11 staff, drive data-informed decisions, and evolve programs for lifecycle planning, safety, security, and vendor management.

You will shape the section's vision, manage budgets and contracts, and coordinate with Finance & Asset Management to align services with City priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project/Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive facility management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory and team leadership experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance and lifecycle management of building equipment and systems across ≈13 facilities.
• Oversee budgeting, contracting, and asset management.
• Champion data-driven decision-making with reporting tools and performance metrics.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across facilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate planning with other City departments.
