Job summary

Poorhandmaids Center at Donaldson is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing and related equipment across the facility. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and document service activities to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, collaboration with facilities staff, and occasional weekend or on-call hours to support critical operations.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Proven work experience and / or ability to detect and repair problems as well as install equipment and to use tools properly.
• Certified or accredited when applicable.
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electricity and boiler technology is required.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety standards.
• Provide quality service within the responsibilities of the position in a friendly and hospitable manner.
• Share HVAC knowledge with co-workers regarding proper mechanical operations and maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Perform daily work orders and maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, operate and test HVAC, electrical, plumbing and boiler systems.
