Job summary

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. seeks an Engineer to maintain HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems across its 16-acre campus, including the Central Mechanical Plant. The role operates 24x7 and is union-represented (Local 30), with overtime potential.

A refrigeration license and several years of hands-on experience are required. The position requires working in a large, multi-use environment with complex facilities and public spaces.

Qualifications

• A current refrigeration license is required for this position.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical, hands-on work experience maintaining and/or working with pneumatic, electric, electronic and direct digital controls.
• Experience with electric and steam centrifugal chillers and steam/condensate systems.
• Experience with domestic hot water heating systems, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Hands-on mechanical work including motor replacements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler systems across the Lincoln Center campus, including the Central Mechanical Plant and multiple facilities with public areas and performance spaces.
• Ensure reliable operation, perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and complete repairs to support continuous campus operations.
