Job summary

Bel-Aire Mechanical LLC in Phoenix seeks an experienced Commercial/Industrial HVAC Estimator / Project Manager to lead estimating, bidding, and managing HVAC projects from pre-construction through closeout.

The role emphasizes strong technical HVAC knowledge, with focus on commercial/industrial projects and may involve equipment replacements, retrofits, and new installations. On-site collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC estimating, PM, or both.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, replacements, retrofits, repairs, and new installations.
• HVAC field experience, trade school training, or technical certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with estimating software, MS Office, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and project documents.
• Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects.
• Perform equipment, material, and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and project budgets.
• Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout.
• Coordinate project schedules, procurement, subs, and field resources.
• Monitor costs, schedules, change orders, and project performance.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, vendors, field personnel, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project, estimating, and pricing records.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
