Job summary

Daikin Comfort is seeking an HVAC Estimator to support plan/spec and design/build projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, assist with equipment sizing and selection, and work with account executives and project teams to ensure accurate scope and cost definitions.

The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to residential and multi-family HVAC systems preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years minimum in HVAC estimating or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
• Travel up to 25% with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using estimating software and tools.
• Perform quantity take-offs and support scope development for HVAC systems.
• Support equipment sizing and selection under guidance from senior team members.
• Coordinate with sales to support air distribution product sales and related equipment.
• Maintain estimating logs, job quotes, and track material and labor costs.
• Attend internal and factory training to build product knowledge.
• Perform virtual surveys and pre-bid walkthroughs as needed.
• Ensure project alignment with estimates and specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in preparation of equipment submittals and specifications.
