Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Project Developer for our Tampa, FL hybrid office. You will own the early-stage development ofHVAC system projects, coordinating scope, schedule, and cost with sales, customers, and PMs.

You will evaluate subcontractor proposals and help define work plans while maintaining safety and compliance. The role requires a engineering degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years in mechanical contracting, and HVAC systems/controls knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of mechanical contracting experience.
• Mechanical systems layout and design experience; HVAC systems and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope, schedule, and cost estimates for customer proposals.
• Collaborate with sales, customers, and project managers to scope, estimate, and sell the project.
• Create, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor proposals to meet customer contract requirements.
• Outline work plans with project management and delegate duties and scope of authority.
• Review status reports and adjust schedules to meet milestones.
