FirstCall Mechanical Group in South Amboy, NJ is seeking an Experienced Estimator to join our HVAC, building controls, electrical, and plumbing services team. You will support the estimating group by preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects and collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to learn the estimating lifecycle.

The role requires 2+ years in HVAC estimating or construction support, blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software such

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge with estimating or construction support experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Accubid software preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in quantity take-offs and cost calculations for HVAC systems.
• Review plans, specs, and scopes under supervision.
• Support bid preparation with subcontractor/vendor quotes.
• Develop and organize estimate documentation for submission.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits with estimators or project managers.
• Maintain bid files and track vendor information.
