Job summary

Johnson Barrow is seeking an estimator to join our Seattle-based team. You will review drawings, specifications and contract documents to develop comprehensive, competitive estimates for HVAC projects from early stage through closeout.

Responsibilities include using manufacturer tools to generate quotes, participating in pre-bid activities, coordinating bid reviews with the team, and supporting continuous improvement of estimating SOPs. Prior estimating experience in HVAC is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

2+ years of estimating experience.
Experience in the HVAC industry strongly preferred.
Sales experience is not required, but a plus.
AutoCAD is not required, but a plus.

Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify all project requirements.
Prepare comprehensive, accurate and competitive estimates/proposals.
Utilize various manufacturer tools and software to develop accurate quotes.
Participate in estimating, pre-qualification and pre-bid meetings with full engagement.
Participate in sales meetings and coordinate bid reviews for strategic projects.
Develop commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
