Job summary

Trane Technologies in Ashland, VA is hiring an Equipment Project Manager to oversee HVAC equipment projects, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and staff.

You will analyze plans, maintain forecasted costs, enter orders, manage cash flow, and ensure timely ship dates while delivering high-quality service and safety. This role offers a collaborative onsite environment with flexible Friday location choices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent; 2 years project mgmt, equipment, HVAC, or related experience.
• Or 4+ years of project management, equipment, HVAC, or related experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication, proactive, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and analyzes assigned projects; establishes schedules and parameters; sets procedures to accomplish system objectives.
• Communicates with customers and their representatives, including owners, contractors, and field staff.
• Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff.
• Compares estimated ship dates with contractors’ schedules and ensures compliance with ordering processes.
• Maintains forecasted cost at completion and controls expenses by monitoring project budget.
• Creates and revises project schedules; generates tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones.
• Entries for equipment orders, purchase issuance, and generation of work orders for start-ups.
• Manages project cash-flow: progress billing, collections support and resource management.
