Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grimes, IA is hiring an Equipment Application Specialist responsible for equipment selection, pricing, discounts, and submittal processes across projects. You will validate specifications, optimize configurations, and support sales with submittals and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in HVAC project management or estimating.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related engineering field.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours.
• Valid driver's license for at least 12 months.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems/temperature controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and validate equipment selection (size, voltage, options) from plans and proposals.
• Evaluate cost savings and potential problem areas across projects.
• Review plans/specs to validate scope, quantities and configurations.
• Support sales with preliminary or final submittals and cost alignment.
• Provide post-order technical support for install, start-up and warranty.
