Job summary

Trane Technologies in Louisville, KY is hiring an Application Engineer II (Equipment). You will be responsible for the equipment portion of projects, validating the selection, pricing, discounts, and submittals, and ensuring alignment with project budgets and performance goals.

You will work on HVAC equipment sizing, configuration, and vendor coordination, support sales with submittals, and provide post-order technical support through installation and commissioning to ensure customer

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of HVAC project management or estimating experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature controls preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours as required.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Optimize/validate equipment selection, size, voltage, options, and configurations.
• Evaluate potential cost savings and cost issues across projects.
• Review plans, specs, and estimates to validate quantities and configurations.
• Support sales with preliminary/final submittals and coordinate cost negotiations.
• Prepare equipment for order entry and verify pricing and coordination.
• Provide post-order technical support during installation, startup, and warranty.
