Job summary

Morguard is seeking a Service Technician to perform hands‑on maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related tasks at our North Carolina communities. You will address resident service requests, complete make-readies for new move-ins, and help keep the property safe and attractive.

The role requires at least 2 years of residential maintenance experience, EPA Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of residential maintenance experience including work orders and make ready turns.
Basic to moderate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs and general maintenance skills.
EPA Universal is required.
Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
Makes the make-ready repairs to prepare vacants for leasing and move-ins.
Tracks inventory, orders supplies as needed, and reports restock needs.
Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleaning and painting as needed.
Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
Participates in quarterly preventative maintenance.
Rotates after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
