Job summary

CIS International LLC in San Lorenzo, PR is seeking an Engineering Technician to support HVAC and ductwork project execution. You will track progress, coordinate with estimators, drafters, fabrication and installation teams, and communicate with customers to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or business/project management, 1-3 years in HVAC or construction, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or Business Administration / Project Management.
• 1–3 years of related experience in HVAC, construction, ductworks, piping or related environments.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical project coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, ductwork layouts, and fabrication details.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Track project progress, schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple HVAC and ductwork installation projects.
• Participate in project meetings with internal teams, contractors, and customers; document and distribute meeting minutes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for management and customers, including progress updates, risks, and pending actions.
• Support the company estimator and draftsman in closing project estimates, validating quantities, reviewing drawings, and confirming scope alignment.
• Assist in coordinating fabrication and installation activities, ensuring alignment with approved drawings and project timelines.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, revisions, RFIs, change orders, and approvals.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding project updates, schedule changes, and required decisions.
• Support quality checks of ductwork fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with field supervisors to monitor installation progress and identify potential delays or resource needs.
• Ensure all project activities follow company procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.
