Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager / Applications Engineer for an HVAC-focused organization. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with clients, engineers, and vendors to specify, document, and deliver HVAC systems and products.

The role blends engineering, applications support, technical project management, and client interaction. Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; PE/FE not required but preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and applications.
• Understanding of heat transfer and psychrometrics.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and technical specifications.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple HVAC projects and technical deliverables simultaneously.
• Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and equipment selections.
• Generate and respond to RFIs.
• Review and develop shop drawings, product information, material data, and related submittals.
• Evaluate HVAC products and confirm they are appropriate for the intended application.
• Support pre-construction and project management activities.
• Assist clients and internal engineers with equipment selection and pricing.
• Review HVAC control sequences and support system operations.
• Collaborate directly with equipment vendors on project-specific solutions.
• Attend customer meetings and jobsite visits as required.
• Maintain project documentation and provide necessary information to accounting.
