Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR distributor, is hiring a Material Handler/Driver. You will receive, stock, pick, wrap, and ship products, while operating forklifts and driving company vehicles to customer locations. A valid license and forklift certification are required, with safety and accuracy at the core of daily tasks.

The role emphasizes inventory control, route efficiency, and strong customer service as you support store locations and customers across the network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 1+ years truck driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history; FMCSA-regulated eligibility.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain on the job.
• English proficiency is a core requirement for safety and communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic power equipment (pallet jack, forklift) to locate and move products.
• Receive product by unloading trucks and verify shipments against packing lists.
• Document shipments and ensure proper labeling and paperwork.
• Fill, pack, and stage orders to minimize damage; follow SOPs and safety rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload trucks, plan routes, and communicate delivery instructions to supervisors.
