Job summary

Daikin Comfort Technologies is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead the development and sustainment of HVAC products for residential and commercial applications. You will drive customer-focused design, coordinate internal and external teams, and manage budgets and schedules to meet quality and regulatory standards.

You will mentor engineers, lead DFSS/DFMEA initiatives, and ensure safety and performance targets are achieved while working with cross-functional groups to deliver on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; advanced certifications preferred.
• Minimum 8–12 years in HVAC product design/leadership roles.
• Experience with DFSS, DFMEA, tolerance analysis and value engineering advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through production with cost, quality and schedule focus.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
• Develop budgets, schedules and resource plans; report status to leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across designs (UL, ETL, AHRI).
• Mentor engineers; drive continuous improvement and DFMA initiatives.
