Job summary

EMCOR Group, through Mesa Energy Systems, seeks a Design Engineer II to provide basic engineering and design support for the Production Engineering Group. You will work on projects across commercial, industrial, government, healthcare, and education markets, applying your engineering education to assist senior engineers and team members.

You will develop skills in site surveys, design solutions, equipment sizing, and retrofit planning, while contributing to standard practices and project

Qualifications

• Degreed Mechanical or Energy Engineering engineer.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• EIT/FE designation; PE in progress.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other related software.
• Computer savvy with ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks assigned by Senior Engineers.
• Conduct job site surveys with understanding of project intent and propose design solutions.
• Conduct audits and surveys; record equipment function, tags, location, capacities, photos, etc.
• Convert field surveys into usable formats for plan and project development; assist sizing, replacement, retrofit of equipment.
• Assist in preparing work scope; copy/print/scan; assemble equipment submittal packages.
• Contribute to project improvement by refining design practices and updating standard procedures.
