Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking a senior mechanical engineer with strong HVAC design experience to generate detailed schematics, conduct site surveys, and develop replacement or retrofit plans. The role requires PE licensure or progress toward it, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and energy simulations.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and manage design tasks through to permitting and project delivery. Qualifications include a B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 5+ years of engineering and design experience.
• PE license or on the path to licensure.
• Proficiency with permitting submittal requirements in the mechanical field.
• Advanced computer skills; proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office and related software.
• Experience with energy simulation software and energy management concepts.
• Understanding HVAC systems and control sequences; PID loop control.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed schematics for HVAC systems based on guidance and guidelines.
• Independent job-site surveys with clear understanding of project intent.
• Record data, analyze and propose design solutions and installation sequencing.
• Convert field surveys into plans; size equipment replacements and use AutoCAD for plans.
• Coordinate engineered mechanical solutions and oversee outsourced engineering resources.
• Prepare permit documents and perform load/energy calculations for projects.
• Contribute to process improvements by refining design practices and templates.
