Job summary

Hooper, a Wisconsin-based contractor, seeks a design‑build HVAC lead to design and coordinate complex systems across assigned projects. You will plan, organize, and direct execution to meet cost, quality, and safety goals while maintaining alignment with client specifications and codes.

You will also contribute to LEED documentation, support business development, and mentor junior designers, staying current with industry standards and codes while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Engineering in training (EIT) preferred in Wisconsin.
• Two–three years of HVAC design experience.
• Experience leading diverse project teams and coordinating design processes.
• Knowledge of commissioning and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive HVAC systems for design-build projects, ensuring code compliance and best practices.
• Cultivate client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Coordinate design issues with clients and other disciplines; oversee submittals for city/state reviews.
• Review shop drawings and manage distribution with vendors and project teams.
• Oversee in-house design staff and support project managers on design‑assist efforts.
