Job summary

Baker Distributing Company is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to support our showroom and sales counter in a wholesale HVAC environment. You will deliver strong customer service and help customers with brand selections and parts sourcing.

You will handle walk-in and telephone inquiries, process sales orders, upsell items, and maintain an organized showroom while supporting inventory control and warranty administration. Safety protocols must be followed at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with HVAC equipment in a wholesale distribution setting.
• Background in sales, operations, purchasing, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment; accommodations provided as needed.
• Interest in continuous learning and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Handle showroom sales and assist customers at the counter.
• Provide product information and source parts via computer systems and catalogs.
• Upsell and process sales orders, including upsell opportunities.
• Maintain organized showroom and stock shelves.
• Assist with inventory control and warranty administration.
• Respond to customer questions by phone or in person.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE usage.
