Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Brandon, FL is hiring a Counter Sales Associate I to support HVAC/R product needs, provide technical information, and assist customers in choosing and ordering parts. You will work in a fast-paced store, greet customers, handle calls, and help maintain store profitability.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, basic math, POS proficiency, and ability to multitask while following SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ year wholesale/retail experience.
• Front line customer service experience required.
• HVAC/R knowledge preferred; forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in-store and by name, delivering friendly service.
• Assist customers in selecting products and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Process quotes, returns, and orders; manage will-call and warranties.
• Research products using POS, catalogs, and online resources; locate stock in nearby branches.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and display merchandise; follow SOPs and sales targets.
• Communicate sales leads to outside sales staff and management.
• Support store operations and perform general duties as needed.
