Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Brandon, FL is hiring a Counter Sales Associate I to assist customers with HVAC/R product needs, provide technical support, and process orders. You will help customers in-store and over the phone, build rapport, and contribute to store profitability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of front-line customer service experience, and familiarity with ERP systems and POS terminals. Forklift experience is a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of related experience in wholesale/retail environment.
• Front-line customer service experience required.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in-store and by phone with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Assist customers in selecting HVAC/R products and resolve technical questions.
• Process quotes, warranties, returns, and orders accurately per SOPs.
• Research part availability using POS, catalogs, and online tools; coordinate transfers as needed.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and organize displays to reflect inventory.
• Support warehouse duties including receiving and stocking.
