Job summary

R.E. Michel Company is seeking an entry-level Counter Sales associate in Midlothian, VA. You will handle customer inquiries, process orders, and assist with loading and delivering items. A strong customer service mindset and basic HVACR knowledge are beneficial.

Responsibilities include invoice processing, order entry, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while promoting product knowledge and sales techniques. Weekday with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication with customers and the public.
• Strong interpersonal skills to service customers in-branch or on the phone.
• Basic math skills and understanding of markup vs gross margin.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and item descriptions.
• Experience operating a computer and Prophet 21 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly customer service in person or by phone.
• Greet customers and maintain positive attitude in-branch.
• Enter customer orders in the system the same day.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load for delivery or pickup.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, purchase orders and shipping paperwork.
