R.E. Michel Company, LLC in Jessup, MD is seeking a Counter Sales I for a full-time, non-exempt role. You will answer calls, assist customers, locate items, process invoices, and assist with loading and delivering products.

The position requires positive customer service, basic math for payments, and the ability to operate a computer and sales software. You will also stock displays, handle returns, and support warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Exemplary verbal communication with customers and public.
• Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills for in-branch, telephone, and delivery-site service.
• Proficient with computer systems and Prophet 21 software.
• Basic math understanding, including markup vs gross margin impacts on sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly customer service following the company's standards.
• Greet customers and maintain a positive branch presence.
• Enter customer orders in the system the same day as receipt.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load into delivery trucks or staging area.
• Prepare and complete invoices, CODs, purchase orders, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Process payments via cash or credit card and manage money handling procedures.
• Handle returns and warranty processing the same day received.
• Restock, rotate displays, and maintain tidy self-service areas.
