Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field technician to diagnose, repair, install, and commission complex building control systems on client sites. You will provide expert service with a focus on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and safety, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with subcontractors as needed.

With at least six years in commercial controls, you will assess site conditions, propose retrofits, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Six years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Vocational school or associate degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic or mechanical systems.
• Ability to install or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment and explain technical information to customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions across varied software languages.
• Consult with customers, perform site assessments, and propose retrofits or upgrades.
• Coordinate work to ensure timely, high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Provide field sketches, wiring diagrams, and documentation as required.
• Train customers on system operation and deliver manuals and training materials.
