Job summary

AIR Control Concepts in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Sales Engineer to promote, estimate, and bid HVAC equipment and DDC controls. You will build relationships with mechanical engineers and contractors while supporting proposals and bids.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, at least five years in engineering systems, two years in HVAC sales, and strong communication. Travel and occasional after-hours work are expected, with a base salary of $70–90k plus commission.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in engineering systems or related field.
• Minimum two years in HVAC equipment sales.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts and operations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Promotes HVAC equipment and DDC controls systems to mechanical engineers and contractors.
• Prepares proposals, specifications, estimates, and presentations.
• Develops layouts with engineers and contractors as directed.
• Prepares quotes for new products or services and negotiates prices or terms of sale.
• Stores and coordinates documentation for submittals and project management support.
