Job summary

Building Controls & Services Inc., a member of the AIR Control Concepts family, is seeking a Systems Specialist in Lenexa, KS. The role involves installing and commissioning DDC controls on new projects, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with electrical contractors on site.

Experience in automation systems, HVAC and electrical concepts is required, along with strong problem solving and customer service skills. Travel and overtime may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in engineering systems installation or related field.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems, HVAC and electrical concepts and operations.
• Proficient in job start-up, checkout, programming, graphics and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• 80% Programs and installs systems and service installed jobs.
• Reads and understands blueprints and general wiring.
• Performs wiring, check and assists in automation systems startups.
• Coordinates electrical installation with electrical contractor on the jobsite.
• Completes final adjustments and calibration on automation systems after installation.
