Trane Technologies in the Carolinas is hiring an HVAC Controls Project Engineer to join our team. You will design hardware and software for building automation systems, create installation drawings, and support the project team from design through commissioning.

Candidates seated in Charlotte, NC; remote Fridays may be possible. Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 3+ years in HVAC project management; drafting software proficiency; knowledge of building automation and IT concepts

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or 3+ years in HVAC/adjacent industry.
• Experience with drafting/design software is required.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and building automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design building controls using direct digital controls for various building types.
• Review contract docs and proposals for incorporation into automation design.
• Create installation, submittal and as-built drawings; transition to service.
