Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience estimating large commercial HVAC projects.
• Experience in a technology-driven environment.
• Ability to lead the estimating process independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective teamwork with sales and operations.
• Strong communication of technical and commercial details.
• Self-starting, proactive ownership and follow-through.
• Hands-on with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into complete, competitive commercial offers for HVAC construction projects.
• Develop accurate estimates and proposals for midsize and larger projects using approved tools and procedures.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to clarify scope, assumptions, pricing, and options.
• Review customer docs, specs, and details to identify risks and interpretation gaps.
• Validate subcontractor pricing and incorporate third-party quotes into calculations.
• Prepare for and contribute to pre-bid review meetings and bid clarifications.
• Maintain and reuse data from previous calculations to improve pricing accuracy.
• Support specification deviations and technical/commercial questions throughout bidding.
• Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and site conditions.
