Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site HVAC Controls Systems Technician to lead control system projects from planning through commissioning. You will coordinate with customers, manage project budgets, and supervise subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates should have a technical associate degree and 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC controls experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree required.
• 1–3 years of related HVAC/Controls field experience.
• Experience in system design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.
• Ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site to plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with customers.
• Manage project costs, billings, and collections to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate communication with customers through all project phases.
• Direct subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, and designers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and Johnson Controls policies.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to team members and subcontractors.
