Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Lead Systems Specialist to serve as the on-site project leader for assigned customers. You will plan, execute, and complete controls projects while coordinating hardware design, system programming, checkout, installation support, commissioning, and closeout.

You will help maintain financial performance, customer satisfaction, and safety-first execution throughout the project lifecycle, providing guidance to installers and subcontractors and ensuring

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree with two years of field experience.
• Proficiency in building automation systems design, installation, checkout, programming, and commissioning.
• Appropriate licensing, certifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
• Strong PC skills; communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls projects from planning to closeout on time and within budget.
• Handle hardware design, system programming, checkout, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Track financial results, scheduling, cost, invoicing, and collections.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance to installers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure systems are validated and operational before turnover.
• Complete closeout activities and required documentation.
