Job summary

Johnson Barrow seeks a proactive Site Auditor with hands-on HVAC controls knowledge to evaluate commercial buildings, identify energy-saving opportunities, and develop actionable upgrade proposals. The role bridges field data with business opportunities and supports sales and service teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in HVAC controls, familiarity with BAS platforms, and the ability to document findings clearly for proposals.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in HVAC controls, field service, energy auditing or related technical sales support.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems (VAV, VRF, hydronic, packaged units) and BAS platforms.
• Familiarity with ECMs, HVAC efficiency principles, and utility rebate programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site evaluations of HVAC and control systems in commercial buildings to assess performance and condition.
• Identify inefficiencies or upgrade opportunities for retrofits or service agreements.
• Document site conditions with photos, inventories and diagrams; translate findings into scopes of work.
