Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hardware design and software programming specialist to support HVAC control systems under supervision. You will prepare submittals, assist with commissioning, and coordinate drawings, schedules, and material orders to meet project timelines.

Requires at least three years with Metasys systems, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with drafting tools. An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS is preferred; HVAC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience with installing and/or commissioning Metasys systems and system-level controllers.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and advanced computer skills for drafting tools.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering or CS preferred; HVAC field experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware from standard library and create flow diagrams, BOMs, and schematics.
• Program software using established standards as the basis of design.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and submittals for installation.
• Assist in loading, commissioning, and validating system functionality with subcontractors.
• Prepare as-built drawings and documentation for system operation.
