Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform master systems integration of BMS, build control databases, create interfaces, and setup control systems per project specs. On-site and remote support will be provided to installers and customers, with field startup and commissioning tasks included.

Applicants should have 2–5 years of related experience and a degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC/Electrical/Mechanical/Software with 2–5 years experience.
• Understanding of procedures and standards to solve moderately complex problems.
• Ability to analyze solutions using technical judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Knowledge in three of: Building Management Systems, Niagara, Distech Controls, BACnet/Modbus, HVAC Controls, IT Networking, Commissioning, Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Site commissioning, testing, and checkout of control applications.
• Validate operation per project specs and design docs.
• Develop system graphics displays per proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Conduct system evaluation and diagnostics; isolate and fix escalated issues.
• Document resolutions and report findings to project team.
• Support software tools management and cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Ensure work aligns with standardized procedures and deadlines.
• Explain complex information clearly to others.
