Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is hiring a BMS Hardware Engineer for the CT–Western Mass Branch. The role involves hardware design and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet project requirements, with direct collaboration among customers, consultants, and field teams.

You will assist in commissioning, create as-built drawings, and help train owner/operators on the total system while ensuring safety and project progress. An on-site US-based position in Massachusetts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Selects hardware designs from standard design library and creates BOM, diagrams, and schedules.
• Performs software programming using established standards.
• Coordinates drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Orders and tracks materials; coordinates factory-mounting to meet schedules.
• Assists in loading and commissioning controllers; troubleshoots with subcontractors and other trades.
