Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a BMS Hardware Engineer to support CT–Western Mass operations. You will design hardware, program software for HVAC control systems, and submit detailed design information to customers and the installation team. You will assist with commissioning and field change documentation to ensure proper operation.

The role emphasizes Metasys knowledge, drawings, schedules, and safe, compliant system delivery across projects.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of experience with Metasys systems and system-level controllers.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Experience with Metasys Tools: RAC schedule, CCT, SCT, Visio.
Preferred: engineering degree or 5+ years in HVAC field.

Responsibilities

Select hardware designs from standard design library for diagrams, BOMs and schematics.
Perform software programming using established Metasys standards.
Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Select, order, and track materials for assigned projects.
Coordinate factory mounting and system commissioning activities.
Assist in loading, commissioning and testing of system/controllers; troubleshoot with subcontractors.
Prepare as-built drawings and software from field changes.
Draft proper operation manuals and communicate progress to stakeholders.
