Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems for clients across industries. You will work with field teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and technical accuracy of all control solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years’ experience in controls, plus knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in controls systems, programming, installation, commissioning, or related engineering work.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and related building subsystems.
• Experience integrating low-voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as BACnet.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure technically complex building control systems in accordance with contract documents and project requirements.
• Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as needed.
• Develop and test HVAC software programs required to operate the system according to project intent.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and submittal packages to support installation and project execution.
• Select, order, and track materials for assigned projects.
