Job summary

Wood Air Conditioning & Plumbing, based in Round Rock, TX, seeks a detail‑oriented Project Coordinator to support traveling HVAC/R projects nationwide. You will coordinate permitting, purchasing, scheduling, and documentation while liaising with project managers, field crews, customers, and vendors to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in project coordination or construction administration.
Experience in commercial HVAC/R, mechanical contracting, or construction is preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and track the permitting process, including applications and approvals.
Create and manage purchase orders; reconcile end-of-month reviews.
Order, track, and schedule materials, equipment, and supplies.
Communicate with vendors about pricing, lead times, and status.
Assist with labor scheduling and crew coordination for active projects.
Maintain project folders and ensure required documentation is available to teams.
Prepare and update permits, work orders, submittals, change orders, and closeout docs.
Monitor budgets and schedules; flag delays or cost issues to PM.
Coordinate travel arrangements for field and project teams.
