Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support our North America HVAC business. You’ll work on air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, and large rooftop units, with a focus on commissioning and aftermarket service.

We provide factory certification through STA, tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle, along with a strong safety program. Travel 10–20% to support branch startup, commissioning, and service activities across North America.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Experience with air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHU’s or large roof top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to lead large complex repairs, jobs or retrofits.
• EPA refrigerants license and valid driver's license
• Travel 10%–20% to support branch startup, commissioning and aftermarket service.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to customers to resolve facility inefficiencies and onsite issues.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Assist and train local technicians and participate in classroom training when needed.
• Travel 10%–20% to support branch customers startup and commissioning activities.
