Job summary

RichSmith Management is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician in Lake Charles, LA. HVAC/EPA certification is preferred, with 3+ years of related experience. The role includes maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance across apartments, common areas, irrigation, and grounds.

Qualifications

• HVAC or EPA certification is preferred.
• 3+ years of related work experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of appliance repair, HVAC troubleshooting, and basic skills in electricity, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work for apartments, buildings, and grounds.
• Respond to service requests within one business day.
• Complete turnkey work in vacants, including repairs and paint.
• Ensure maintenance shop is neat, organized, and stocked.
• Be on-call for 24-hour emergency maintenance services.
• Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team on mechanical and architectural systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, exteriors, and recreational equipment.
• Maintain and repair swimming pool equipment.
• Paint interior/exterior surfaces including parking lot striping.
