Job summary

RichSmith Management in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician to join our community. You will perform maintenance and repairs across apartments, common areas, irrigation, and grounds, and respond to service requests within one business day.

HVAC/EPA certification is preferred; 3+ years experience and the ability to work on-call 24/7 are important. The position emphasizes on-site duties, safety, and quality with a benefits package included.

Qualifications

• HVAC or EPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• On-call availability for 24-hour emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and routine maintenance and repairs for apartments, buildings, grounds.
• Respond to service requests within one business day.
• Complete turnkey work in vacant apartments, including repairs, paint, and lock/key rotation.
• Ensure the maintenance shop is neat, organized, and well-stocked.
• Be on-call for 24-hour emergency maintenance services.
• Follow the Fair Housing Act at all times.
• Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team, overseeing repairs of mechanical and architectural systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, building exteriors, and recreational equipment.
• Maintain and repair swimming pool equipment.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including parking lot striping and curbs.
