Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Manchester, NH seeks a Systems Engineer for building control systems focusing on HVAC controls. You will design, configure, and commission complex systems, develop diagrams and BOMs, and coordinate with field teams to ensure on-time delivery and performance.

Ideal candidates hold an associate/technical degree or engineering degree, with HVAC and building automation knowledge, strong drafting and testing skills, and willingness to travel up to 75% for project needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical degree, three years of related technical relevant work experience required; or equivalent work experience (with no degree) as a commercial HVAC Controls Technician, Engineer, or Installer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry and control systems and building automation.
• Experience in integration of low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols.

Responsibilities

• Designs and configures technically complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents.
• Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics.
• Develops and tests software programs necessary to operate the system.
• Coordinates the creation of drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Selects, orders, and tracks delivery of materials for projects; coordinates factory-mounting processes.
• Assists in loading and commissioning of system and network-level controllers; validates system functionality.
• Provides field change information for as-built drawings and software.
• Keeps project team informed of progress; tracks progress using dashboards.
• Assists in site-specific owner/operator training on the total building control system.
