Job summary
Johnson Controls in Massachusetts seeks an HVAC Building Controls Engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems with a focus on HVAC applications.
You will develop submittals and software, commission systems, and coordinate drawings and schedules for installation, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
The role requires HVAC knowledge, control theory, and willingness to travel up to 75% to site locations. A technical degree is preferred.
Qualifications
- Associate or technical degree with 3+ years of HVAC controls experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry and control theory for building automation.
- Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems and using drafting tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to job sites.
Responsibilities
- Designs, configures and operates complex building control systems focused on HVAC.
- Develops hardware submittals, software, and commissioning plans for projects.
- Coordinates drawings, equipment schedules and submittals for installation.
- Assists in loading, commissioning and validation of systems with subcontractors.
- Maintains progress updates for the project team using dashboards.
- Supports site-specific owner/operator training and safety compliance.
