Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks apprentices to gain hands-on HVAC experience at client sites, training through the Service Technical Academy to build skills and pursue advancement.

You’ll work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls under mentorship, developing problem-solving abilities and delivering efficient facility solutions. Applicants should have 1–2 years of technical education, a valid driver’s license, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of HVAC industry experience or servicing mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and facilities management.
• Ability to represent Johnson Controls to customers professionally.
• Leadership to support non-complex HVAC work on job sites.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites.
• Participate in Service Technical Academy training for skill development and advancement.
• Develop troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills through coaching and mentorship.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of job progress.
• Meet attendance requirements for Union training in the first year.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
