Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking motivated apprentices to join our team and gain HVAC knowledge while learning from industry professionals. The program includes training through our Service Technical Academy (STA) and hands-on work installing, servicing, and optimizing HVAC equipment at customer sites.

As a trusted advisor, you will help resolve building inefficiencies, communicate progress with customers, and advance through union-led certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• 1+ year of experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Technical understanding of mechanical HVAC systems and facilities management basics.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy (STA).
• Develop troubleshooting skills to resolve technical and customer needs.
• Meet union training attendance requirements in the first year.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Prepare and present quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
