Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites. You will participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy, gaining hands-on experience and progressing toward advanced certification.

Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices develop skills to troubleshoot both technical issues and customer needs, with on-the-job guidance and potential for advancement within a union-supported environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in HVAC or servicing mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and facilities management.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
• Preferred 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will train on HVAC equipment and controls at client sites.
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and upsell opportunities.
