Job summary

Mr. Holland’s Home Services, a brand of Clarion Home Services Group, is hiring an HVAC Apprentice in the Fond du Lac, WI area. This full-time, on-site and field-based role offers hands-on training under an experienced lead technician and daily interaction with customers.

You will learn to diagnose, repair, and install HVAC systems, educate clients on options, and support continuous company growth. A valid driver’s license, EPA certification preferred, and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 0–2 years in residential HVAC (trade school grads welcome).
• EPA Universal / Type 2 Certification preferred; valid driver’s license with clean record required.
• Exceptional communication skills with focus on educating clients and on-site service.
• High integrity with desire for continuous improvement.
• Must pass background check and drug screening per local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems with experienced lead technician.
• Shadow lead technicians to learn how to educate customers on systems, set expectations, and provide top-tier service.
• Learn to identify system enhancements, provide accurate options, and contribute to company growth milestones.
• Explain the value of high-efficiency equipment to clients so they can make informed choices.
• Assist with basic startups and routine maintenance for residential HVAC equipment.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch, manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Shadow coordination with other service trades, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• Keep the company truck clean, organized, and stocked with parts and materials.
• Participate in morning meetings, trade shows, training programs, and retreats.
