Job summary

Mr. Holland’s Home Services is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to join our residential and light commercial service team in Fond du Lac, WI. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on training under experienced technicians and a path to career growth within the Clarion Home Services Group.

You will gain experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC systems, while learning customer communication and safety best practices in a dynamic local market.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of residential HVAC experience (trade school graduates or field helpers welcome).
• EPA Universal / Type 2 Certification preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service on-site.
• Must pass background check and drug screening per local laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems with a lead technician.
• Shadow lead technicians to learn how to educate customers and set expectations.
• Identify system enhancements and provide clear options to clients.
• Explain the value of high-efficiency equipment to customers.
• Assist with startups and routine maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch, managers, parts, and installation teams.
• Help keep service trucks clean, organized, and stocked.
• Participate in meetings, training, and team events.
