Job summary

Daikin Applied is hiring a full-time 2nd Year HVAC Apprentice in Maple Grove, MN. You will diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including rooftops, chillers and boilers.

You’ll work alongside Journeyman and Foreman, drive a company vehicle, manage inventory and learn evolving technologies while earning while you learn. Safety training, OSHA guidelines and certifications are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 2nd year apprentice status recognized by the union.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment including rooftops, split systems, chillers and boilers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist in service tasks on site.
• Test equipment and verify functionality; document findings and service notes.
• Transport tools/materials and drive company vehicle to job sites.
• Interact with customers and provide clear status updates during service calls.
• Complete safety and training modules, maintain certifications per OSHA guidelines.
