Job summary

CG Wood is seeking an Application Engineer to support the sales team and customers by interpreting mechanical drawings, performing HVAC equipment take-offs, selecting products, pricing, and developing proposals for projects.

You will work closely with Sales Engineers, Estimators, and Project Support to deliver timely, accurate solutions. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically curious, organized, and comfortable with mechanical drawings and HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• Interpret mechanical plans, schedules, specs, and project docs.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy on large construction docs.
• Learn and apply manufacturer product knowledge and pricing tools.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical plans and specs to identify HVAC equipment requirements.
• Perform detailed equipment take-offs from drawings.
• Select HVAC products based on project requirements and performance criteria.
• Prepare accurate quotes and professional proposals with terms and lead times.
• Provide technical and estimating support to Sales Engineers throughout bidding.
